Quinta da Amendoeira

Wonderful stay! Family of 5, stayed for 2 nights in mid March. Beautiful surroundings, the kids loved the playground and being able to walk around the farm property and say hi to the sheep. Pool looked lovely (but it was far to chilly for us to use.). We had one of the connecting rooms, which worked out well for us. The kids loved the skylight in the shower! Best part of the stay- the absolutely amazing meals! The staff were wonderful, and even though we had to use Google Translate on occasion (since we don't speak Portuguese), they were so patient and always had a smile on their faces. The breakfast was fresh, the homemade croissants and jams superb. The highlight was dinner. We ate there both nights, and loved both meals. First night we had the chef tasting menu, the second evening we choose from the menu. The crispy river eel was a dish I will always remember. And my girls still talk about the milk/chocolate mousse dessert! Sidenote: just down the road is a super cute little zoo, and a cheese factory/store. Kids loved our short visit there. This stay was a highlight of our trip to Portugal. Such a serene and calm place to enjoy the countryside.

The apartment itself is neat and quite spacious, which made the stay generally comfortable.||However, the bathroom design is very impractical. The door is made of heavy glass and doesn’t close properly, which means it doesn’t provide much privacy. It feels like a case of style over functionality.||We also chose this place partly because it is a bit outside the city and has a restaurant that was highly praised in the reviews. We arrived in the evening tired and hungry, expecting to have dinner there, but it turned out we couldn’t use the restaurant even though it was still within opening hours. The staff told us the entire restaurant was reserved for another group. This situation felt quite ridiculous, especially since no one had informed us about it in advance and no alternative was offered, not even something simple that could be brought to the room. In the end, we had to order food from McDonald’s, which is not really the kind of meal you expect when staying in a place like this... :/||Breakfast was also rather disappointing. The scrambled eggs even had small pieces of eggshell in them, which was quite unpleasant, and there were no vegetables available at all.

This hotel was truly a magical place. From the atmosphere to the smallest details, everything felt special and thoughtfully done. The food deserves a separate mention exceptionally high quality, easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. Every meal felt refined, fresh, and carefully prepared. A special thank you to Miguel, who was extra kind and attentive from the moment we made the reservation until check-out. His warmth and professionalism made the stay even more memorable. We will definitely be back.

Just two days, but we had a very nice stay. |Rooms are large and very clean (including kitchenware) and comfortable. Great shower. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Nice infrastructure and surroundings, including pool and playing grounds as well as fields with plants and sheep. |Overall, relatively quiet, although much depending on other guests (several families with kids of all ages), also due to pretty thin walls and outdoor activities.

The team and luxury accommodation at Quinta da Amendoeira are AMAZING. Staying at both Lisbon and in the Algarve we had an amazing trip. That being said, the trip was MADE here in Évora. The city is a travel back in time and the outskirts is amazing with lots to do especially if you are into exploring the cork farms, vineyards and shopping at local ceramic artists. The property here is spectacularly beautiful with sheep, orange trees, vineyards and ancient olive trees with fruit. The location, a five minute drive to the city center makes you feel close to the action but the property makes you feel nicely secluded while also secure. Finally the staff, WOW! They went above and beyond to cater to our needs giving us amazing recommendations and really making our stay enjoyable. Many thanks to our friend who helped check us in. He was our main point of contact and i feel terrible I can’t remember his name now writing this review as well to the kitchen and cleaning staff. Special shout out to the kitchen staff as well for giving us the best to go basket of breakfast the night before as well had to depart rather early for our flight out of the country. Truly a five star experience. Could not recommend more for this addition to your trip.

Fantastic & wonderful experience, service, room and food. The apartment was beautiful, comfortable, and well appointed. The pool are was very relaxing. The grounds were peaceful and we loved reading about the history of the location. Excellent service and friendly staff. Breakfast each morning was delicious. We enjoyed the chef experience.

We stayed here for two nights and everything was perfect from the moment of booking to check-out. The team is amazing - Ricardo and the other staff were very kind, supportive, and helpful. We truly felt at home. The room was spacious and had everything we needed: a fully equipped kitchen, table, sofa, bed, and even a book on the bedside table. There’s also a small, cozy outdoor area with a table and chairs where you can enjoy the fresh air and some quiet time. The property is expansive, with a lake, olive trees, and vineyards. You can even see sheep wandering around. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy nature and serenity. You can use bicycles (free of charge) to explore the grounds, but we chose to walk, and it was amazing. For a small fee, you can rent Vespa scooters to visit Évora, which is just a 5–7 minute drive from the Quinta. There’s also a heated swimming pool and a paddle court. Plus, the Quinta has a great restaurant, so you can enjoy a fabulous dinner without needing to leave for Évora. I would love to come back and definitely recommend visiting Quinta da Amendoeira!

We stayed in Quinta da Amendoeira for 3 nights and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The rooms are very close to the pool area, the pool has an amazing atmosphere and the restaurant is divine. We had a little issue with our room’s door but we were promptly compensated. Thank you José and all the team for the reception.

We were welcomed by our friendly hostess who showed us to our apartment, walking past the beautiful pool area. A modern sitting area with kitchenette led through to the bathroom and bedroom. Electronic blinds afforded dark, quiet nights, and good linen and large towels were appreciated. Breakfast was served in the cafe/reception area or could be enjoyed on our private patio. Plentiful breads, croissants, ham, cheese and eggs were freshly made. The property has a small menu for lunch/dinner but we ate out in Evora. There are bikes or their electric buggy for hire, walking trails to follow and a beautiful massage area under trees on the estate. Recommended.

Wonderful 'slow food' experience. We enjoyed delicious couvert, entrees and mains. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable service by the chef and his team. Can't wait to get back to try the rest of the menu.

It is not often that an accommodation/resort lives up to the posted photographs and description, but in this instance it was surprisingly so. It is a restful oasis situated close to the beautiful and historical town of Evora. Each accommodation is modern and air conditioned with a fully equipped kitchenette. We chose to breakfast and dine at the property and were surprised by the choice of menu and the range of regional wines on offer. A three course evening meal is priced at just EUR 20. The young couple: Gonzalo and Maria were charming hosts. Gonzalo is not only the chef but also able to advise you on the wines of the various regions in Portugal. A wide range of wines are offered at very reasonable prices. In fact, local wine houses sponsor this recently opened property. There was never any rush. Just allow yourself to sit back at the lovely pool or on your private terrace and take life at a slower pace. I would advise anyone to visit.

Great hotel from every perspective. Shout out for the quality of the service (for humans and dogs) the breakfast (omelette are simply unbeatable), the mattress and the nature. Absolutely recommended

7 unit vacation hotel. Really upscale rooms consisting of living room and bedroom. Very hightech room yet with warm atmosphere. Nice surrounding. 5 minutes from town. You will not be disappointed

Great experience and place to spend family time

Fomos dia 17 de Outubro, esteve um dia espetacular, a piscina é maravilhosa assim como toda a quinta. ||Receberam-nos super bem, ainda conseguimos dar uma volta pela quinta no dia seguinte, foram muito prestaveis. ||Estou muito satisfeita, e recomendo a 200%||Os quartos são incriveis, super bem equipados e muito bonitos.

Dou 5 estrelas porque nao deixam dar mais. Tenho ido a Vários hoteis, quintas, e nunca esteve tudo tao bom como aqui. Os quartos super modernos, colchao e almofadas firmes de boa qualidade e decoraçao linda!! Todos os funcionários, sem exeçao, super prestavéis, simpáticos e prontos a ajudar e a desenrascar. A piscina quentinha, mesmo que a chover, e a quinta é linda e acolhedora. Fui a 17 de Setembro, tudo muito calmo, e o facto de podermos trazer o nosso animal de estimaçao ainda torna o espaço mais bonito. Irei voltar muitas vezes certamente. 🥰

Colaboradores super prestativos e simpáticos. Local "pequeno", com 7 quartos, perfeito para evitar grandes confusões e aglomerados de pessoas. Ideal para passar uns momentos tranquilos. Uma bonita propriedade ao redor, onde é possível dar um breve passeio. Pequeno almoço com muita variedade e com qualidade. Uma estadia a repetir.

- Ficamos no quarto n°2, tem 1 quarto, 1 casa de banho e uma sala kitchnet com sofá cama (bastante confortável). Os quartos são limpos e com uma decoração simples e moderna.|- A piscina é de água aquecida, e toda a zona envolvente é muito linda, com relva fresca e espreguiçadeiras confortáveis.|- Na zona de restaurante só experimentamos o pequeno almoço que é pequenino mas tem tudo o que é necessário para um bom pequeno almoço e com qualidade.|- Tem padel court novo|- Mini tratores para as crianças brincar|- O parque infantil estava a restaurar, mas tem escorrega, trampolim…|- Todos os funcionários são muito prestáveis e atenciosos.||Mesmo ao lado tem a Quinta Cachopas tem um mini zoo muito bem organizado onde as crianças podem alimentar os animais. De carro são 5 min para o centro de Évora.|A Quinta da Amendoeira é perfeita para passar uns dias tanto em família, como em casais como em grupo de amigos. ||Iremos voltar com certeza.

Alles was erg goed en personeel erg vriendelijk. Ricardo en José super behulpzaam en enthousiast. Min punten hebben wij niet gevonden, maar als ik een advies mag geven, zou ik een paar eenvoudige gerechten op de menukaart erbij zetten. ( en de sla wat beter wassen 😉). Super verblijf gehad en een echte aanrader.
